Each year every Club adopts a local public elementary school and provides donations to enhance existing programs, encourage parent involvement, help teachers meet curriculum objectives, and provide students with opportunities that will help them grow into active citizens in their communities.
Every morning in every one of our Clubs, Team Members gather unsold meat, produce, dairy and bakery items - much needed complements to the canned and boxed items so often donated. Three times a week, each Club loads the perishable food collected onto trucks from the local Feeding America food bank to help ensure that people in need have access to well balanced meals. As of June, 2014, BJ's Wholesale Club has donated over 20 million pounds of food to our partner food banks to help feed neighbors in need. This equates to over 16.7 million meals!
This program recognizes Team Members for their volunteer projects and efforts in their local communities. Each year, Team Members can be nominated for recognition, and top winners are selected from 11 different categories to receive a cash donation to their charity of choice.
When Team Members find themselves in need of help because of things like an injury, illness, fire or natural disaster, it’s nice to know you’ve got a team behind you. The Aisle Help Fund is a new charitable fund designed to provide assistance to Team Members (and their immediate family) to pay for expenses as a direct result of these types of qualified hardships.
Each year, the BJ's community proudly comes together to raise both funds and awareness for the National Cancer Institute® designated cancer research and treatment centers to support their care, research and treatment of breast cancer. In partnership with our vendors, BJ’s and its Members help support the cause through the purchase of specially marked "Power of Pink" Club merchandise. Together, we will raise funds and help find a cure.
When you join BJ’s you will become part of our family, and have opportunities to do great things both professionally and within your community. We are always looking to add talent to our team, and if you share in our family values, then we would love to hear from you.
